About Me
Helping you thrive through every stage of life.
Welcome
Hi I’m Lara, a degree-qualified Clinical Nutritionist and mother of three athletic teenagers.
My passion for health and fitness has been a lifelong journey. As a former youth athlete I went on to pursue university studies, and built a successful career in sports marketing while also working as a personal trainer and pilates instructor.
After becoming a mother, I quickly realised there was plenty of advice on how to care for my baby but surprisingly little guidance on how to care for myself. This led to years of exhaustion, overwhelm, and the challenges of navigating post-natal depletion. Through my own research and nutrition studies, I was able to reclaim my energy and rediscover a healthier and happier version of myself.
Now, I’m dedicated to helping other mothers break free from the notion that constant fatigue is normal. I firmly believe that when you prioritise your own health, you’re better equipped to care for your loved ones. My approach is rooted in the philosophy that food is medicine, and I use an evidence-based, holistic approach to health as I guide you towards renewed energy and well-being.
As I have three athletic children, two who are representative and state level athletes, I am also dedicated to supporting other youth athletes balance the growth and development challenges of adolescence with their sporting aspirations.
When I’m not consulting, you’ll find me chauffeuring my children to their various sporting events around Melbourne or squeezing in a quick walk or gym session for myself. I’m also an avid cook who loves entertaining and sharing nutritious meals with family and friends. Like many of my clients, I’m also working toward achieving better balance in my own life, striving to stay fit while juggling the demands of family and career.
As a lifelong learner, I believe it’s never too late to grow, change, and become the best version of yourself. Together we’ll reignite your spark, restore your energy, and help you become the healthiest and fittest version of yourself.
MY MISSION
To inspire and support youth athletes and mothers through every stage of their journey by providing personalised education on the profound power of nutrition and lifestyle. By fostering a deeper understanding of how food fuels both body and mind, I aim to empower individuals to optimise their physical and mental well-being, whether they are pursuing athletic excellence, navigating motherhood, or striving to be their best selves in everyday life.
Navigating perimenopause
Currently I’m navigating perimenopause, while balancing a busy family life centred around my children’s school and sporting commitments. As my daughter begins puberty, I’ve realised how much education there is for kids about adolescence and their changing bodies, but almost none for us as women about what happens during perimenopause.
Women often go through this life stage completely in the dark, unaware of the hormonal changes and symptoms that can arise. My goal is to change that. I’m passionate about providing women with education and strategies to manage perimenopause so they can optimise their health during this transition.
Fuelling youth athletes
With three athletic children, I'm deeply passionate about youth sports nutrition. Teaching young athletes how to fuel their bodies for peak performance is one of my greatest joys.
I love seeing the moment when it all clicks—the realisation that nutrition can mean the difference between getting to the ball faster than their opponent, having the energy to kick the winning goal, or being selected for the team because they can maintain stable energy throughout a strenuous training session.
I provide practical, easy-to-implement strategies that help young athletes sustain their energy through school, training, and competition while supporting their growth and development. Watching these athletes improve their performance and achieve their goals, knowing their nutrition has played a part, is incredibly rewarding.
